As part of the Budget Hearing on August 21, 2020 (Item No. 155), the Board approved a referral from Supervisor Cortese that requested that Administration schedule a Board workshop with participation by representatives of the Superior Court in October 2020 relating to options to designate Main Jail South as a behavioral health center, including consideration of constructing a mental health facility separate from the jail system, integrating the consent decrees, and including the Court in the discussion of court transportation.
