As a means of sharing information with staff and the public regarding COVID-19 in the jails, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office created an information portal at the start of the pandemic. The portal, located on its website, contains staff and media communications; informative videos, and a data dashboard. The data dashboard has been a useful tool to share caseload and testing information for both staff and inmates with the Board of Supervisors, interested stakeholders, and the public.
