On May 23, 2017 (Item #10), the Board of Supervisors directed Administration to provide an off-agenda report relating to the population of inmates upon intake who are suffering from substance abuse and addiction; how many of those incarcerated are in one of the various recovery programs provided through the jail system; and the jail’s capacity for treating inmates with substance use disorders.
