On September 11, 2018, Item 20, the Board of Supervisors (Board) adopted plans and specifications and authorized the advertisement of Contract Documents for bidding of the Main Jail North 2nd Floor Dental Suite Project (Project No. 263-CP19003). Only one bid was received from Agbayani by the bid closing date of October 11, 2018. Their bid was $709,000 and met all the requirements of the solicitation. In addition, Agbayani’s bid was 1.5% lower than the engineer’s estimate of $720,000. Thus, Agbayani is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and should be awarded this public works contract.
