Implementing this plan will not impact the General Fund for the pilot period.  The cost to the Inmate Welfare Fund (IWF) will be approximately $2.5 million. The current balance in the fund is $3 million, therefore, the IWF has sufficient funding to cover the costs of the recommended action.
