At the August 14, 2018 Board meeting, the Board made three (3) referrals for additional information relating to New Main Jail South. The first referral asked to identify steps that will be taken to monitor and control costs for the New Main Jail South. The second asked for information on key decisions and changes in the market over time relating to the construction of New Main Jail South, including considering the use of public dollars in most efficient way possible, understanding changes in programs and projects over time, state and federal changes in construction that may affect costs, material costs, and labor constraints. The third referral asked for a report on parenting areas in the New Jail and how educational opportunities relating to parenting programs will be addressed.
