Adopt Board Policy Resolution relating to the Office of Correction and Law Enforcement Monitoring

On January 23, 2018, the Board considered a proposal to establish an Office of Correction and Law Enforcement Monitoring (“Office”) and a Community Correction and Law Enforcement Monitoring Committee (“Committee”).  The proposal included a draft Board Policy that, among other things, provided for public input in the selection of a Board-appointed director for the Office.  The Board approved the proposal, but chose to engage an independent contractor to perform the functions of the Office rather than providing for a Board-appointed director (which would have required a Charter amendment).
