Reason(s) for approval of amendment
This amendment is focused on training, and makes adjustments necessary to allow for ADA training for those cadets going through the custody academy this year and Years 2 and 3 of the contract as well. In addition, given the number of ADA projects going on in the jail facilities and because of the number of housing units affected, it is necessary to increase the contract amount for the ADA architectural expert to ensure the County is in compliance with the ADA. There is sufficient coverage for this year and so the additional coverage will be divided over Years 2 and 3 of the contract. There are no changes associated with the jail reporting and monitoring scope of the Agreement.
