Project Augmentations
Project 263-CP16020 “Main Jail ADA Repairs” was initially developed and budgeted to be a master project for all ADA work at MJN and Elmwood. However, subsequent Board of Supervisors’ (Board) actions were taken to develop establish separate projects for the same type of work at both Main Jail North and Elmwood, resulting in the establishment of Project 263-CP16029 “Elmwood ADA Improvements” and Project 263-CP17030 “Correctional Suicide Prevention Cells.” These two projects started with nominal budgets, knowing that at the time of construction bidding a redistribution of funds from CP16020 to CP16029 and CP17030 would be required to award the construction phase for the projects. Separating the projects by facility allows for funds and project management specific to each facility.
