Approval of this Amendment would allow NAMI to expand the availability and operating hours of their current Warmline/Help Desk program to assist clients/consumers, families, and detainees in Santa Clara County. This Amendment would also update County general provisions for expenditure contracts and renew the Agreement for FY 2019.
The NAMI Warmline/Help Desk is a hotline and office resource that allows family members and clients/consumers to call, e-mail, or visit in-person. NAMI’s Warmline/Help Desk is currently only available 20 hours a week, without support for evening or weekend calls. Funding from this Amendment would increase the operation of the Warmline/Help Desk to a full 40 hours per week and provide trained Family Member Partners to respond to calls on evenings and weekends, creating a 24/7 availability.
