The Amendment will allow the implementation of the Administration’s plan for the County to subsidize inmate phone calls through the Inmate Welfare Fund as approved by the Board of Supervisors on September 10, 2019. The plan subsidizes inmate phone calls for an 18-month pilot period from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021.
