Approved request to transfer funds from the General Fund Contingency Reserve to the Department of Correction and Custody Health Services to balance departmental year-end budgets.

The recommended action to approve the budgetary transfers and adjustments will allow departments to end the fiscal year with budgets in balance as required by State law. Without these budgetary transfers, modifications will be required as part of the Controller-Treasurer Department’s year-end close in September 2020. Due to shortages in salaries and benefits, as well as services and supplies funds, departments will not have funds available to meet their FY 2019-20 financial obligations.
