Most of the expenditure for Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Hospitals and Clinics (SCVMC) under the agreement is a continuation of ongoing expense for services in the VMC at Bascom Emergency Department.   The expansion in non-Custody areas (for urgent care clinics) would be associated with higher visit volume; staff expect that the additional revenue associated with this volume would be enough to cover the cost.  Actuals will be monitored throughout the year, and if needed, SCVMC will use the mid-year process to modify expenditure and revenues.
