Award Contract for Main Jail North and Elmwood Campus Video Surveillance System

Category:    Construction Contracts

This project is being executed using the Design-Build Construction (“DBC”) process, and the recommendation to award the contract to Cornerstone is based on a thorough evaluation of the technical merits of the finalist Design-Build proposers, along with price, as part of the Request for Proposal (“RFP”) process. The contract provides for the both the design and construction phases of the project, the installation of a video surveillance camera system for Main Jail North (“MJN”) and the Elmwood Facilities, and the funds provide for both of those items along with project contingency and administration costs.

The project provides for the installation of high-resolution HD cameras (both 180 degree and 360 degree panoramic, and Pan-Tilt-Zoom) within the Main Jail North and Elmwood Correctional facilities to replace and upgrade the existing systems, including the recording devices and storage capacity. The design provides for camera coverage in current blind spots, and the new system will capture data for 13 months along with allowing for streaming and recording.
