On July 21, 2016, the President of the Board of Supervisors asked the County Executive to provide an update on the acquisition of body-worn cameras. At the direction of the County Executive, the Procurement Department worked with the SHO to provide the report related to the acquisition of the BWCs.
The Procurement Department acquires goods and services for County agencies and departments. Based on the operational needs, Procurement works with client departments to establish term contracts for ongoing needs or issue purchase orders for one-time needs. Irrespective of the type of agreement or purchase order established by the Procurement Department, client departments must submit a purchase requisition with specifications/statement work and budgetary authorizations to the Procurement Department to make the purchases on behalf of the client.
