The Board approved the initial resolution for SB 863 financing in February 2016. Since then, the State of California Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) has asked the County to update the Board resolution to account for funding changes in the project. As a result, the resolution has been updated to demonstrate the County’s commitment to the State as to the County’s plan to move forward with this project in addition to receiving $80 million of State funding to assist with the construction of Main Jail East.
