Reasons for Approval of the Appropriation Modification

Capital Project CP16010 “Harden Administrative Booking Lobby” was approved by the Board in Fiscal Year 2015, to make modifications at the Main Jail South administrative booking area with an estimated project cost of $300,000. The Facilities and Fleet Department (“FAF”) received construction proposals in September, 2016 from the Job Order Contract Contractor in the amount of $306,707.16 to make the necessary modifications and also incorporate American with Disabilities Act (ADA) features. It is anticipated that an additional $75,000 will be required to fund the execution of the construction phase of the project, which includes overhead and a 15 percent contingency reserve. Work is planned to be completed before calendar year 2017.
